The Blackduck area features outstanding educational opportunities for all ages, from K-12 to regional colleges and universities. Plus, Blackduck has a variety of educational attractions for those who love to study and learn.
Students in the Blackduck school district consistently score higher on assessment tests than other area schools. In fact, Blackduck High school students score well above the state average in virtually every subject.
Classes are 8:30am-3:30pm. Children from 3 to 5 years may ride the bus to Head Start in the mornings.
Some of the classes offered include: Driver's Education, Firearm Safety, Snowmobile Safety, Yoga, Zumba, Dance, ECFE/SR, ATV Safety Class, Swim Lessons, Defensive Driving, Youth Hockey, Indoor Walking, Wednesday Night Volleyball, Wednesday Night Basketball, Flag Football, Youth Softball, and Camps.
Early Childhood Family Education is a family centered program for children 0-5. Parents attend a two hour class once a week during the school year with their child. ECFE provides a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment for families and children to play and learn together. A typical class includes; play time together, circle time, snack and a parent education session. Blackduck Schools will be offering class each Tuesday with two available times: 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 am and 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.
School Readiness is a preschool class available to children who will be going into Kindergarten the following fall. The purpose of SR is to help children transition into the Kindergarten classroom by introducing them to Kindergarten skills and routines. A few examples would include name recognition, beginning writing, and number and letter recognition. School Readiness will be on Wednesdays & Fridays from 8:15 am - 4:20 pm during the regular school year. Classes begin September 3rd. Busing to and from school will be available.

Blackduck Public Schools serves approximately 620 students grades K-12. Blackduck offers the opportunity to have all of your children educated under one roof. We are the only school in the area with an agriculture program and we provide late rides two nights a week for students involved in extra curricular activities. Some of the activities offered include: Football, Boys' & Girls' Basketball, Volleyball, Wrestling, Track & Field, Boys' & Girls' Golf, Softball, Baseball, Speech, Drama, FFA, Robotics, Knowledge Bowl, Math League, Band, and Choir.
Second week of June through the second week of August. (Youth ages 14-17).
