Blackduck AMVETS Post #101
AmVets is a national veteran’s organization which is open to all veterans with an honorable discharge, or any service member currently serving. Blackduck AmVest Post #101 was chartered in the fall of 2010. The organization meets the third Tuesday at 7:00pm at the Blackduck Community Library. The primary focus of this organization is to assist veterans and their families. The group has two major fundraisers: the selling of hand crafted flag display boxes, and collecting deer hides. Money raised in these programs go for local scholarships and to assist local veterans in need.

Blackduck Summer Baseball, Inc.
Blackduck Summer Baseball is a program for youth ages 6-15. Players are grouped within the following classes; T-Ball (ages 6-7), Midgets (ages 8-9), Little League (ages 10-12) and Babe Ruth (ages 13-15). This parent-driven organization has been active in Blackduck for more than 30 years.

GFWC Blackduck Tri Sigma Club
General Federated Women’s Club (GFWC) is an international organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. GFWC Blackduck Tri Sigma was founded in 1926 and focuses on three areas; Study, Service, and Social Ability. GFWC Blackduck Tri Sigma meets nine times a year. Each meeting includes a short program and time to interact with women of the Blackduck community. The group also carries out year-long fundraising projects to benefit Blackduck. The Blackduck Community Library has been an ongoing service project for the group.

Blackduck offers Bone Builders Osteoporosis prevention exercise groups. The group meets at 9 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays at Faith Lutheran Church.

Take a Kid Fishing
Take a Kid Fishing pairs young anglers with fishing guides and volunteers for an afternoon of fishing on one of Blackduck’s area lakes, with a fish fry to end the day. Parents and the young fishermen are invited to the meal, at no cost to the family.

TOPS-Take Off Pounds Sensibly
A support group to encourage you as you make changes to live a healthy lifestyle. This includes sound nutrition and exercise plans to reach weight goals set by you and your healthcare professional. Every Wednesday evening, Zion Lutheran Church hosts an evening of learning, food, family, and fun! Children of all ages are invited. Parents are welcome any time. Parents/public should feel free to join at dinner and stay through the church service.
